Matt Lerner

Prior to joining Roofing 101, our production manager Matt was a recruiter and project manager for Nebraska Aluminum Castings Inc. who manufacture custom aluminum castings in the Midwest.  He also worked with College Works Painting for several summers during college and this training allowed him to transition into the role of our new production manager. Matt is proud he is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, which has nothing to do with karate instead it is a system that focuses on reducing defects and eliminating waste by streamlining production processes.

On a day to day basis Matt is working side by side with our roof consultants, assisting in meeting with homeowners to adjust any additional work or issues if they arise. Material audits and add-ons or returns are also a part of the job as well as working with supply companies and all crews to insure all work is complete and the homeowners are satisfied.

What Matt enjoys most about his role with the company is he likes being out in the field with his hands full, interacting with the production crews and our customers. He also admires how each member helps out one another and the like-minded mindset we have and constantly are pushing each other to the next phase.

Outside of his role with Roofing 101 Matt is active. Playing outside sports, CrossFit, snowboarding, paddle boarding, and playing with his dog are some of his favorite activities to do. He also volunteers and helps kids through programs like Big Brothers and Big Sisters and wheelchair sports camps.

Hillary Thompson - Accounts Receivable

Hillary joins us at Roofing 101 after working several years as an assistant and in the customer service industry before becoming our Accounts Receivable go-to.  Before September when she joined us,  she worked side by side in a veterinary clinic for 5 years as an administrative assistant which allowed her to gain customer service experience and work with many different people and backgrounds. Her extensive experience in phone inquiries allows her to be an independent force within our team. Hillary’s enthusiastic attitude pushes the increase work productivity in all members of Roofing 101 and we are thrilled to have her with us!

Monitoring all of our incoming jobs, all work involved, and any changes in our Accounts Receivable or production for both locations are what she specializes in. Daily she is reaching out to homeowners and Insurance companies in order to collect payments and properly make sure the monies are going where they need to.  What she likes most about her job is finding new problems to tackle, speaking with people and learning more about her role every day.

On any off time Hillary can be found working out, listening to tunes, cooking and meal prepping and spending time with her family.

Graham Dessert - Owner

Graham grew up in a large, military family that moved to the Leavenworth area in 1993. He graduated from Immaculata High School in 1998 and played four years of college football at both Simpson College in Iowa and University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth. Graham graduated from Saint Mary with a Bachelors Degree in Business and History in 2008. Graham is married with five children and resides in Leavenworth.

“What I like about this part of the country is that it is a great place to raise a family. I come from a large family of ten children and have five of my own, so living in a good community with great people is very important to me”, says Graham. “I view the home as a safe haven for a family. I feel that way about my own home and that’s how I see it for my customers. And for that home to be truly safe, it must be strong, resilient, and endure harsh conditions. It needs the proper protection. This is my motivation for Roofing 101.”
